Norfolk SkiYodl customers: check this before chasing a refund |
The Norwich-based ski travel company has entered liquidation. Here’s what affected customers should save, check and ask first. |

If you booked with Ski Yodl, paid for accommodation or have an unresolved complaint, don’t assume the next step is simply to ask the company for a refund.
ABTA says Ski Yodl Ltd, listed at an address on Thorpe Road in Norwich, was placed into voluntary winding-up and a liquidator was appointed on 22 July 2026.
The company is no longer operating in the normal way, so the paperwork around your booking may now be more important than the original booking email.
Here’s the checklist for Norfolk customers.
First, gather everything in one folder. Keep your booking confirmation, invoices, payment records, emails, complaint correspondence, cancellation messages and any details showing what you were promised.
Take copies before sending anything on. Write down the amount paid, the date of payment and whether you bought a package holiday or accommodation only.
Next, check which type of booking you made.
ABTA says Ski Yodl sold package holidays, but it does not believe there were any current package-holiday customer bookings at the time of liquidation.
If you think you were affected by a package booking, ABTA asks customers to email claimsrequest@abta.co.uk with details of the booking.
Accommodation-only bookings are different.
ABTA says those bookings were not protected with ABTA.
That doesn’t answer every possible question about your payment or insurance, so don’t treat the absence of ABTA protection as the end of the process.
Check the payment method you used and contact the relevant payment provider or travel insurer, if one was involved, asking what information they need and what route applies to your case.
Keep your message short and factual. Include the booking reference, dates, amount paid, what was booked, how you paid and what outcome you’re seeking.
Ask who is handling the matter and where any claim or complaint should now be sent.
Don’t rely on a social-media reply or an old telephone number as proof that your case has been logged.
The fair warning is this:
“I booked a ski trip” isn’t enough information to work out what protection may apply.
Package holiday and accommodation-only customers may be in different positions, and the payment trail could be just as important as the booking terms.
Save this checklist before contacting anyone.
If you’re comfortable sharing it, tell Spotlight whether your booking was package travel or accommodation only, without posting personal or payment details.
That could help shape a follow-up for other Norwich and Norfolk customers. |
